Along with many people Bruce Lee was always one of my heroes growing up. As a child it was just a matter of being enamored by his unbelievably flawless martial arts. (As a matter of fact I even joined Karate for a few weeks because of him. haha) Once I got older I realzed the true genius of Bruce Lee. His philosophy was so enlightening and one of the foundations of how I think and who I am today. This interview was a rare moment of not seeing Bruce Lee the gifted martial artist but Bruce Lee the Philosopher. Bruce was definitely someone we lost way too early and I think because of the somewhat grainy footage of this interview it almost adds a bit more mystique to the man.

About a year ago around this time I had a severely pulled hamstring playing football at Foothill and was at a crossroad in my life. I was recording with a friend who made beats but not too seriously. One day in deep thought I sat down and wrote a 70 line song that ended up turning into Roc Boys that ended up being my most successful and popular song with people I know. I wrote that song in the car the day I went to go tell my dad I wasn't sure I wanted to play football on the half broken blackberry I had at the time. From that point I felt something in me that told me to pursue it.

After a lot of thought I stopped playing football to put more time to my music. While I had a lot of support I felt I had a lot of people look at me like I was crazy which I almost expected. I worked real hard and developed a crazy work ethic when it came to working on music. I was constantly writing, constantly trying to create some sort of innovation in what I do. I feel there is a wide open fan base in the South Bay and even the Bay Area as a whole that I want to capture. I almost feel like Batman in a way that I have to sacrifice a lot to reach a dream that I feel benefits everyone around me.

This brings me to the whole point of this post. In the past few months I've seen some amazing things happen in my career and tough things happen in my life. I've had my music spread to places I didn't think it would spread this early in my career and had my first show that I think went really well. At a certain point I kinda chalked up Late August as a learning experience and felt there wasn't much more I can do with it and started planning other things but because of you guys it gained a second wind and earned me a lot of fans. I've met a lot of people and heard a lot of stories from those people. Some who believe in me and some who I can tell don't at all. The first group of people may be called dreamers or delusional while the second group could be realists or simply non-believers. I fasted 48 hours a few days ago to gain strength from God for the road ahead of me. A lot of ground will be covered in a short amount of time and I want to be fully ready for it mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

I have a lot of visions on what can be done in my city and the bay area and I want everyone to know that I do it for you guys. We got lost in the shuffle of music and too many times we are left with no real figure to be proud of from here. I want to change that and really spark some buzz and anticipation in MIlpitas/San Jose and the bay area altogether. So if your a dreamer then believe that we can do this and if your a realist open your mind so I can change it.

That quote to me is the story of my career. I didn't plan to be here nor did was I bred to become this. It happened and I ran with it and never looked back. I would much rather pursue my dreams and live life with no regrets then think in 10 years 'I wish I would have done that'.

So to really get to my point because I haven't been, I want to thank everyone who has supported what I have been doing and what I will do. I really appreciate you guys and you are what keeps me going. We got a lot planned for the rest of 2009 and I truly care that you guys care. To all the people who have not only supported it but helped it know that your helping a movement because that's where we are going to take this. Does all this sound very ambitious? yes but I'm a dreamer and I know nothing else but having visions. With my dreams I want to take over the world so I can leave my mark on it in some shape or form. It sounds crazy but as a wise James Bond did say in "Tomorrow never Dies"-The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success. So my job is to make you guys see me as a genius. haha. I'm about to take this whole city to Flight School(word to Top Gun) and we're gonna make this area higher then it's ever been. Believe now because the non-believers will be wishing you did when we get there.

So I ask one thing. Anyone who is or has been or is starting to support me leave a comment of support on this post so I can see early in my career who was really there from the start. If you don't believe in me leave a comment of non support because there would be no such thing as a great artist if he does have good and bad opinions. I have to have some people to prove wrong.

First single from Wale's debut album 'Attention Deficit' dropped yesterday as pasrt of Wale's Wale Week. After a reference type track leaked a few months ago this one features Lady Gaga and has quite a few differences from the final cdq single. Personally I like the old one better but putting Lady Gaga on it makes sense from a business standpoint. This should be able to get him on more contemporary stations with her named attached to it. I just feel like M.I.A. is who they wanted because it sounds an awful lot like her.

They actually were not half bad but will be definitely overpriced. There is a lot of influence from the AJ IV with of course a AF1 midsole.

Hello Grey's Anatomy fans.
I have been extremely busy, I'm sorry for not blogging about it...
I haven't had the pleasure of watching it, and will not be for the rest of this quarter because I have physics when it comes on. Foregoing Grey's for physics... of course. *Looks up to the heavens; COME ON!*

Lets see... Shall we start with Dr. McSteamy and Little Grey? Now I know that we've all gotta be fans of at least one of them. As for me... I'm a huge fan of Dr. McSteamy. If I were in Lexi's position, I definitely would've done the same thing. You know, I was definitely hating on this little rendevous before, but now it just makes me giggle a lot. Haha. I mean, he snuck out of his best friend's girlfriend's house full of residents.

Mama McDreamy. Something about her just makes you love her even though we just met. Now she is a mom I wouldn't be afraid to meet. Meredith got really lucky... Mama approves so she's forrrrrrrsssuuuuree in the family. The family of doctors... -_-

Now Meredith pissed me off with the issue of the PDR. She had so much sympathy for someone so dead inside. You wouldn't think that she would be so willing to give this murderous stranger a second chance, but if it saves the adorable little kid, then okay. But why not just take his liver THEN send him back to prison? Haha... I'm sure he could survive long enough without it to face his punishment.

Meredith's comment to Cristina about "it just comes natural to some of us" was such a low blow... Inappropriate! She started it!

So Cristina. Why am I like her in so many ways? "Collegues aren't friends, they're competition." How does she know me?! I'm glad she and Dr. Hunt are finally on to something. Yes, he definitely needs some psychological help, but he seems like a good guy... something that Dr. Yang really needs right now. She needs some good lovin!

Izzie Stevens is insane. Now as bad as I feel for Denny... I love Alex Karev that much more. He's such a good guy... thank you for realizing you need him in your life Izzie. Now I'm sure there was some big meaning for his return, I'm not too sure what it is, but it probably is really profound... What do you think? We should discuss this matter, it's quite serious. =] He baked a cake for her! How adorable is that? This man can do surgeries alone, but he cannot make a good looking cake... love it. Haha.

2008 wasn't the easiest year for me but when adversity strikes it is always best to learn from it and come back stronger.
As cliche as that sounds I want this year to create my homemade universe.

THis looks like such an amazing film. It is a documentary told as a cartoon. I am so surprised this has never been done before and if it has I can guarantee it wasn't done this good. When I seen the trailer for it I was blown away by the possibilities this brought. I suggest everyone watch the trailer and see it when it comes to a theatre near you.

Scotty Reifsnyder has created a fantastic children’s book that is based on the lyrics of a Johnny Cash song entitled “The Man Who Couldn’t Cry”. The book has a die cut that runs throughout adding a dimension of interactivity for the reader.

To me this is the true genius of Johnny Cash. His songwriting skills were never questioned but it takes some time before your the true talent of your work shines through. This proves his lyrics were timeless. I think country music may be one of few if not the only genre where stories are told in such detail. For one of his songs to be turned into a childrens book means it stood the ultimate test of time and is now bringing the story he told to a whole other generation.

RIP Johnny Cash. One of my heroes in music and a true genius.

Obviously I have a thing for G-Shock watches and this one is no different. Celebrating the 25th Anniversary this one is a unique watch and I love the resin band. If it wasn't like 500 dollars I would certainly buy it. Until then it's 80 dollar GShocks for me.
